Sanlaki started with a clear goal in mind:

Help VR gamers enhance their VR experiences with low-cost and easy-to-use VR accessories.

 

We are proud to say that we've successfully helped more than ten thousand gamers so far! We are also continually improving our designs to better enhance VR immersion.

A NOTE FROM THE OWNER

Hi! I'm Lerrick Salas.

VR gamer, designer, and owner of Sanlaki VR!

My first experience with Virtual Reality (VR) was with the Google cardboard. Although the VR experience was very basic, it opened my eyes to the potential of VR!

I became really obsessed when I experienced room-scale VR for the first time using the HTC Vive. I couldn't stop thinking about it and I couldn't stop talking about it.

I became the "VR guy" among my friends, family, and colleagues!

I love playing first person shooting games the most. However, I had a huge problem playing them in VR. Using just the controllers made my aim very shaky. I always lose because I kept missing targets. It was very frustrating!

Also, having my hands float in the air while holding a rifle in VR felt very unnatural and it breaked my immersion.

So, I tried different gunstocks in the market and unfortunately nothing worked for me. They were very difficult to set-up and very frustrating to use. Plus, they were very expensive!

That's when I decided to design my own VR gunstock. I wanted to make a gunstock that is specifically designed for me as a gamer. So, I went to Facebook Marketplace and picked up a used 3D printer.

My goal was to make a gunstock that's easy-to-use and low-cost. It was harder than anticipated and took me hundreds of hours of trial and error just to get a working prototype! My original design started with PVC pipes and it evolved into the highly rated Sanlaki gunstock.

I also shared my 3D files for free on Thingiverse so anyone with a 3D printer can make one. Then, I decided to open our Etsy shop and website after a lot of gamers requested it because they don't have access to a 3D printer.

Fast forward a few years later, I've also designed accessories for other games like the Sanlaki Paddle Adapter for Eleven Table Tennis and Golf club adapter for Walkabout Mini Golf and Golf+.

I am obsessed with my goal of helping VR gamers enhance their VR immersion and helping them save money at the same time. I hope you join me in this journey!
